We are two former Agronomy professors: Lise Bertram, from Denmark, and her husband Bartolomeo Lercari, descendant of an historic Ligurian family denominated Lercari – Cheo. After a long academic career we decided to literally “get our hands dirty”. Starting with the old family property we proceeded to recover several lots of abandoned land, reviving and replanting vineyards in danger of disappearing forever. Through the years we have gathered a little team of dedicated collaborators and now, besides rebuilding the traditional dry stone walls to recover more abandoned terraces, we carry out all phases of wine production: from work in the vineyard to harvesting the grapes, from work in the winery to bottling our own wines.
